The John Snyder Memorial Bicycle Rodeo is a bi-annual event that emphasizes bicycle safety for the children of the community. The Rodeo will take place again during the summer of 2008 and is co-sponsored by the North Vernon Rotary Club and Craig, Kelly & Faultless.

In 2006 over 400 bicycle helmets were given away to the youth of the community. Other activities include drawings for free bikes, and a bike obstacle course set up by the North Vernon Police Department.
