The North Vernon Parks and Recreation Department offers a lighted R. C. dirt racetrack for patrons of the City Park. The track is open to the public year round, weather permitting.

Throughout the year special events and races are held at the City Park, as well as league racing, that run during the summer months on Saturday evenings.
